PET bottle group packaging technology

Requirements to group packaging continuously rise: it shall minimize transportation costs, ensure product preservation and goods handling convenience. PET bottles are grouped using heat shrinkable polyethylene film. This multi-purpose material is commonly used as packaging due to the following characteristics:

• high density,
• lightness,
• tensile strength,
• reliable dust and moisture protection.

Automatic equipment for PET bottle packaging independently forms product units, wraps them in shrinkable film and feeds in a heat tunnel. Due to special heating elements located in the heat tunnel the film is shrunk and then it is cooled and forms the reliable transport packaging.

There heat tunnels of different design supposing the right-hand or left-hand feed of bottle units as well as equipped with different types of heater when hot air is supplied by gas heating or using electric heating elements.
